Niluka Kavanagh
Niluka Kavanagh, a former KPMG leader turned entrepreneur and technology commentator, brings practical insight from founding KPMG's first Behavioural Science Unit, building three businesses, and working remotely across 14 countries. Now Founder and CEO of ImagineThat, The Business School for Nomadic Entrepreneurs, and a keynote speaker at Learning Technologies 2027, she translates global shifts in AI, remote work, and generational change into actionable strategies. Her sessions equip leaders and teams with the tools to adapt confidently, communicate with impact, and build resilient organisations ready for the future of work.
Organisations today face a fundamental challenge: how to redesign work, leadership, and communication in an era where AI is no longer just a productivity tool but actively reshaping roles, and where employees increasingly value autonomy and meaning over traditional career paths. Niluka Kavanagh is a speaker, writer, entrepreneur and former KPMG leader who helps organisations and individuals navigate these shifts with clarity and purpose. With a career that bridges global consulting and nomadic entrepreneurship, she brings a fresh, insightful perspective on how we live, work and lead in a rapidly changing world.
After graduating from Oxford University, Niluka began her career at KPMG LLP, where she led projects for clients including Lloyds Bank, Mastercard, The London Stock Exchange and Tesco. During her time there, she founded the firm's first Behavioural Science Unit and FutureThinkers, a platform exploring technology and the future of work. She has since founded three businesses, including ImagineThat, The Business School for Nomadic Entrepreneurs, a fast-growing community supporting people building businesses from anywhere. Her work has taken her across 14 countries, and her ventures have been featured on BBC Radio 4 and in The Scottish Sun. As a technology commentator and keynote speaker, Niluka regularly addresses audiences at major industry events including Learning Technologies London and the Institute of Internal Communication Festival. Her writing has been published in The World Financial Review and by Cambridge University, and she has guest lectured at Trinity College Dublin, The University of Edinburgh and Somerville College, Oxford. She also shares insights through her YouTube channel Breaking Boundaries with Niluka.
Niluka speaks on the rise of digital nomads, remote work, AI-driven job redesign, personal branding, resilience and the cultural shift from corporate to entrepreneurial thinking, particularly among Gen Z and Millennials. Drawing on behavioural science and lived experience, she helps audiences understand not just what is changing, but how to communicate and lead through transformation in ways that genuinely land. Whether exploring how AI is moving from tool to job redesigner, or why the portfolio career is becoming the new normal, Niluka equips leaders and teams with practical frameworks to adapt with confidence and creativity. Her sessions inspire organisations to stop simply informing their people and start transforming how they think, work and thrive.
