Rosie Steevenson & Helen Seymour
Helen Seymour and Rosie Steevenson are pioneering former RAF fast jet crew who share powerful, real-world lessons on leadership, resilience and high performance from one of the world’s most elite environments.
Helen Seymour and Rosie Steevenson are trailblazing former RAF fast jet aircrew and one of the world’s first all-female fighter jet crews — a remarkable duo who have taken their extraordinary frontline experience and transformed it into a compelling, relatable and inspiring message for audiences in every sector.
Helen’s journey began with a strong belief in herself, shaped by the influence of confident, capable women in her life. From a young age, she had her sights set on becoming a pilot in the Royal Air Force. But when she failed her first attempt at the RAF’s rigorous aptitude tests, it was a crushing blow. Rather than give up, she picked herself up, passed on her second go, and began her journey into a male-dominated world where she was constantly told flying was “a man’s job.” With quiet determination and exceptional skill, Helen went on to fly fighter jets and made history as the world’s first female Eurofighter Typhoon pilot.
Rosie’s passion for flying began with a single photograph — one that sparked a lifelong ambition. Yet when she applied to the RAF, she was told her petite frame made her physically too small to fly fast jets. Refusing to let this stop her, Rosie reapplied as a navigator, a role that allowed her to fly despite the size restriction. After years of intensive training, steep learning curves, and pushing past moments of doubt and setback, she finally took to the skies – flying supersonic alongside Helen in one of the world’s most advanced fighter aircraft.
In a role where pressure is constant, and performance is critical, Rosie and Helen formed a rare all-female crew – navigating the demands of an elite environment where trust, teamwork and decision-making could be a matter of life and death. In a male-dominated field, they proved that excellence has nothing to do with gender — and everything to do with mindset, preparation and resilience.
Their bond, forged under pressure, has stood the test of time. Together, they co-founded On A Mission, a platform created to bring the lessons of the cockpit into the boardroom. Their joint keynotes offer unique dual perspectives — pilot and navigator — and are packed with powerful takeaways on leadership, collaboration, handling pressure, overcoming bias, and performing at your best when it matters most.
They’ve spoken to audiences from global corporates to public sector teams, from high-level conferences to internal leadership events — always adapting their stories to resonate deeply and practically. With warmth, humour and humility, Helen and Rosie share their journey in a way that’s both captivating and relevant — inspiring people not just with what they achieved, but with how they did it.
At their core, Helen and Rosie are about showing what’s possible when you challenge limitations — and supporting others to do the same. Whether in the sky or on stage, their message is bold, empowering and unforgettable.
