A warm, funny and hugely successful media executive, Cally Beaton has spent the past 3 decades working in high profile roles in the international media - most recently as Senior Vice President at US studio giant Viacom, and notably as the youngest ever board member at Carlton Television, part of ITV, in the early 00’s.
At Viacom, Cally oversaw a £500m budget and the global roll-out of hit shows like South Park, Friends, Sponge Bob Square Pants and Catfish on behalf of brands including MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount and Nickelodeon. She combined working with creative, development and on-screen talent with monetizing content and commercial success.
Cally embraced her entreprenurial spirit by launching her own creative consultancy and production company at the same time as her stint at Viacom.
Working for nearly two decades closely with Comedy Central inspired Cally to embark on a double life as a stand-up 4 years ago. Indeed, Cally was inspired to get into stand-up on the personal recommendation of Joan Rivers. She now enjoys a successful career as a jobbing comedian at clubs up and down the country and abroad. Her debut show at the Edinburgh Fringe was a sell-out last year, and her radio and television appearances including BBC’s Apprentice You're Fired and QI, and Radio 4’s The Museum of Curiosity, Unbelievable Truths and Where's the F In News?
An in-demand MC and after dinner speaker, Cally knows how to work a room. She delivers speeches and keynotes across a range of subjects, helping audiences to understand what the most successful people do at work, inspirational leadership and how to develop an inclusive workplace. Cally also delves into what the millennial generation expect the modern workplace to provide, and what a creative culture looks like.
Drawing on her gloriously unorthodox, double-life as a business leader, coach and perfomer, Cally is able to strike the perfect balance between professionalism and comedy, and can be relied on to deliver smart, bespoke, funny curation of even the most challenging events.
