David’s background is in journalism. He trained as a newspaper reporter and then joined Sky Sports News as it launched in 1998, first as a scriptwriter, then progressing to reporting and ultimately fulfilling his dream as a pitch side reporter in Premier League games.
David anchored the Sky Sports News afternoon slot with co-host Georgie Thompson for many years, as well as more hard-hitting football focussed broadcast journalism including the Sky Sports News coverage of the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
He took the helm of the World Cup 2010 reporting, and broke free of football briefly, to anchor coverage of the iconic London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic games.
