Graeme was Director of Economics and Prosperity Studies at the Legatum Institute, before he formed macronomics. This background in driving prosperity set Graeme up with the techniques he needed for establishing a consultancy firm.

Between 1997 and 2013 he worked as Chief Economist and Director of Policy at the Institute of Directors (IoD), where he was also a Main Board Director. Graeme worked globally, acting as the figurehead for 40,000 international business leaders.

Graeme has also spoken internationally too, giving after dinner speeches and conference talks to audiences in 25 countries across the globe. Adept at powerfully communicating complex messages in a simple manner, Graeme is engaging and clear.

Graeme has also played a role in politics, in his position with the IoD he represented them  in discussions with the Chancellor of the Exchequer and 10 Downing Street.

Earlier in his career he was Chief UK Economist and Chief International Economist, at The Henley Centre for Forecasting. He was also Economic Adviser to the Scottish Provident Investment Group.

His vast financial experience means he is accomplished at challenging conventional wisdom and forecasting trends for the future of the economic markets.
