The energetic and dynamic Jamil Qureshi is a master of performance enhancing psychology, and has worked with some of the biggest names in sport and business. His memorable keynotes are full of practical takeaways and have been proven to optimise performance in varied fields including NASA, the European Ryder Cup team and chart-topping musicians. Jamil’s techniques have helped six individuals get to World Number 1.
Jamil’s diverse background led him to psychology. For two years, he played professional cricket – badly – and when he sought the help of a psychologist, who highlighted the fact that technically he was competent but his attitude let him down, he was hooked.
Taking this knowledge further he co-founded We Do Things Differently. In this role, he works with a team to drive meaningful change. Helping delegates in the business world to understand the difference between activity and productivity, his compelling presentations drive change and truly engage his audiences.
Prior to founding his own venture, Jamil was spotted by a TV producer during a mind-reading performance at a club, Jamil was introduced to Derren Brown, and worked with him on a number of TV shows. As his public profile grew, he was picked up by professional golfer Gary Evans, who almost won The Open, with Jamil’s help. His reputation became his calling card, and the sporting world was his oyster.
He worked with 22 golfers inside the world’s top 50; with Bolton Wanderers and Stoke City, Jamil’s impressive track record in sports led to corporate work, partnerships with NASA astronauts, Formula One teams and with singer-songwriter Lily Allen.
As the creator of Mind Shaping, and appointed by Ian Woosnam to work with the European Ryder Cup team in 2006, Jamil helped the team make history by winning by a record-equalling margin.
He founded and grew JQED, a performance coaching business and through this venture which he has worked on for over a decade, Jamil has had the pleasure of working with CEOs and fighter pilots, coaching them to fulfil their potential by enabling change through manageable and inspirational performance programmes, and integration strategies. This work led him to develop and deliver management and leadership programmes at the highest level for big brands such as Coca Cola, Hewlett Packard, Emirates Airlines, Serco, Marks and Spencer, Lloyds Banking Group, and Royal Bank of Scotland.
His years of work helping the best in the business reach their full potential has seen Jamil ranked among the most influential figures in British sport in 2009. He was voted in the top 100 most powerful men in golf 2008 by his international peers.
As a lecturer on the prestigious World Program, Jamil has expounded his wisdom all over the world.
Incisive and inspirational, Jamil is a captivating speaker who will deliver any company a genuine masterclass for achieving success.
