Speaking Topics

1. The future of technology/IT and social media

The increased capability and affordability of technology is creating a different business landscape and impacts society in unpredictable ways. Social interactions are increasingly digital and technologies increasingly pervasive. I speak of how this has shaped today and what this means for the future over a spectrum ranging (as required) from utilities and governance through to our next generations destined to be the leaders and carers of the future.

2. Change and innovation in business

In traditional business, change management was a one-off event that happened very occasionally. In the modern business environment we change management has been replaced with a challenge to manage constant change. I speak about how this can happen whilst respecting core business and legacy processes.

3. The future of marketing

The world of marketing used to be fairly predictable with static consumer or customer bases who were relatively easy to interact with. However, in the rapid and interconnected landscape the present and future shape of marketing has to take into account significant complexity. I speak about how this complexity can be simplified and decoded into an understandable and tangible way forward.

4. Customer loyalty

Loyalty has never been more fickle. With multiple influences and demands on attention, the science of generating loyalty looks different from the days gone by. I speak about whether this is really the case, or whether building trust through honesty and authenticity can still win out in a fickle and transient marketplace.

5. The future of leadership

Leading through changing times is notably different from leading in good times. The future of leadership depends on the nature of the times but when the only thing one can predict is that change happens, the nature of leading will demand even more vision and empathy than ever before. I speak about how leaders of today can be future proof, even without proof of knowing what's next.
