BBC presenter Monty Halls is an experienced and charismatic motivational  and after dinner speaker . He brings his wealth of experience to life and draws on his adventures to speak on change with respect to the world we live in; how it relates to a business environment, and how to perform under stress.

An ex-Royal Marines Officer, a broadcaster, explorer and writer, Monty has led international teams through some of the most demanding environments on earth, for over twenty years. He has worked for Nelson Mandela as part of the peace process in South Africa and was awarded the BISH Medal for services to exploration.

Monty’s latest BBC series, Monty Halls' Great Irish Escape, precedes a further two series, one about our inshore fishing fleet and one about the Great Barrier Reef, both set to air in 2012.

His television career began when he won Channel Four’s Superhuman competition in 2004. Since then he has presented series and documentaries for the Discovery Channel, The National Geographic Channel, BBC1 and BBC2, Channel 4, and the History Channel.

Other projects have taken place on the west coast of Scotland, where he lived in a tiny bothy on a beach for six months, following in the footsteps of his hero Gavin Maxwell. This series aired on BBC2 in 2009 as "Monty Halls Great Escape", hitting viewing figures of over 3 million. He returned in early 2010 from a further six months as a nature ranger in the Outer Hebrides, an experience recorded for the second series on BBC2 called "Monty Halls Great Hebridean Escape".

He continues to be in demand, with a Discovery series that involves genuine exploration and ground breaking filming techniques, in 2014.

He has written seven books, and contributes regularly to national newspapers, including a weekly column in one of the UK’s best selling
publications, The Daily Mail's Weekend Magazine.

Monty’s passion is leadership, team dynamics, and studying the effects of stress and pressure on humans.
