Robyn Meredith is the author of The New York Times bestseller, “The Elephant and the Dragon: The Rise of India and China and What it Means for All of Us.”
Robyn’s an expert on the global economy, China, U.S. foreign policy, India, and geopolitics. Robyn has lived and worked for 15 years in Hong Kong, including during the SARS outbreak. She has given a TED talk on China and appeared on the Charlie Rose Show and on NPR’s Fresh Air show.
Robyn, the longtime Hong Kong bureau chief for Forbes Magazine, was also an on-air correspondent for Bloomberg Television. She interviewed heads of state and CEOs of global companies and wrote about global business and economic trends. For Forbes, she wrote cover stories on Microsoft, General Motors, Sony, Kodak, Toyota, Ratan Tata, Li & Fung and Infosys. During her time in Asia she traveled to 20 countries across the region.
Prior to joining Bloomberg Television in, Robyn served as Senior Editor, Asia for Forbes, also based in Hong Kong, where she covered economics, global finance, Asian markets and foreign policy.
An award-winning journalist who previously wrote for The New York Times, Robyn’s multi-disciplinary background includes finance, acclaimed writing and high-profile public speaking. Meredith is now based in New York, where she works as a Client Strategist at BNY Mellon. Robyn previously worked in Hong Kong for Goldman Sachs.
Robyn is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a Fellow at the Foreign Policy Association.
Robyn received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Boston University.
