Paul Johnson | 3 March 2021

The pandemic has created an unprecedented crisis and forced the state to implement financial support packages not seen since WWII. It is vital businesses understand what this means for them and we invited Paul Johnson, director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies, to join our virtual showcase event ‘Making Sense of an Uncertain Time’.

Paul broke down the Government’s spending (up-to the date when the event took place) and what the likely impact would be on the state’s finances.

Paul went onto explain how the IFS reached its fiscal projections and what it means for the UK’s economy during the short and medium term.
