Petra Velzeboer Speaker Showreel

Petra Velzeboer was born into the infamous Children of God cult where she was raised with the pressure of saving the world. With no formal education to speak of or resources on how to make it in the outside world, at 25, with 2 children, she experienced chronic isolation, depression and sank into alcohol dependence leading to suicidal ideation and destructive behaviours.

Petra uses her incredible story to encourage audiences to embrace empathy and develop greater human connections in the workplace so we can live and operate in a mentally healthy environment, which in turn increases productivity. She engages audiences to stand up, communicate with strangers and interact with colleagues lending itself to conversations which continue well after the event takes place.
