Alastair Lukies CBE is a fintech pioneer, entrepreneur and government advisor, best known for founding Monitise and leading Pollinate International.

Alastair Lukies CBE is a pioneering entrepreneur and one of the most influential figures in the UK’s fintech industry. He is the Founder & CEO of Pollinate International, Chair of the Fintech Alliance, Vice-Chairman of the Global Advisory Council at Motive Partners, and a member of the Prime Minister’s Business Council. For more than two decades, he has been at the heart of building collaboration between financial institutions, investors and regulators, helping to position the UK as a global fintech leader.

In 2003, Alastair founded Monitise, a business that went on to be named a World Economic Forum ‘Technology Pioneer’ and grew to a $2 billion market capitalisation with 1,500 staff across four continents. His leadership helped shape the mobile banking revolution, earning him a CBE in 2014 for services to mobile banking and charity. He was also named Entrepreneur of the Year at the Growing Business Awards in 2011.

Alastair has held a number of prominent roles championing the sector, including being appointed the UK Government’s Business Ambassador for FinTech and serving as the inaugural Non-Executive Chairman of Innovate Finance. Earlier in his career, he co-founded epolitix.com, a leading portal for Westminster and Whitehall.
