Julia Streets is a fintech entrepreneur, broadcaster and diversity champion, known for founding Streets Consulting and hosting the global DiverCity Podcast.
Julia Streets is a champion of fintech entrepreneurship, innovation, and the power of diversity and inclusion. She is the founder and CEO of Streets Consulting, the international business development, marketing and communications consultancy, which since 2007 has advised organisations across capital markets, B2B, payments, and emerging technologies including blockchain, AI and cybersecurity.
Before setting up her own business, Julia held senior leadership roles including Global Head of Communications at Atos Euronext Market Solutions, the technology arm of NYSE Euronext, and European Head of Marketing and Sales Development at Instinet.
Julia’s influence and leadership have been recognised widely. Brummell Magazine has celebrated her as an Inspirational Woman in multiple categories, she has featured on Innovate Finance’s Women in FinTech Power List for many years, and she is listed as a Diversity Champion in the Global Diversity List. She has also been shortlisted and honoured in numerous awards, from the Variety Catherine Awards to the Women in Finance Awards, and was included in the landmark publication 300 Years of Leadership and Innovation for HM The Queen’s 95th birthday.
In 2017, Julia launched DiverCity Podcast, a global series highlighting progress and challenges in diversity and inclusion across financial services. Now listened to in more than 50 countries, it is recognised as one of the leading diversity podcasts worldwide.
Alongside her consultancy and advocacy, Julia is a highly sought-after speaker, host and MC. A “recovering stand-up comedian”, she has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and The Comedy Store, and her wit and presence make her a popular choice for industry events and after-dinner speeches. She is also the author of The Lingua Franca of the Corporate Banker, a tongue-in-cheek take on corporate jargon.
Julia proudly serves as a Trustee of the charity Street Child, is a founding member of the PowerWomen Network, and a Fellow of the British American Project. She lives in London with her wife.
