Real-life Iron Man Richard Browning tests the boundaries of gravity with his jet-powered suit. The UK-based inventor has thrown away the rule book with his suit powered by six small jet engines.

Founder of human propulsion technology start-up, Gravity, Richard has made his idea a reality.

Launching his invention to the world in true modern day style, Richard posted an exclusive Facebook live video which documented his flight to the world in Spring 2017. After two and a half years of trialing materials, training his body and after many, many clumsy attempts, Richard has succeeded in taking flight. Pioneering innovative technology, he has built a light exoskeleton suit attached to six gas turbines which has seen him fly for over 10 minutes. He can accelerate up to 450 km an hour in the machine which needs human ability to power it too.

Richard has put himself through a rigorous training programme of ultra-marathons, cycling, callisthenics and gymnastic exercises to prepare his body for the flight.

Business is developing around the flying suit, as Project Gravity begins to take place. Heavily involved with sustainability projects also, alongside a team of technologists, Richard has installed a solar lighting system in a rural Kenyan school. The team used a locally sourced car battery to aid the support of local education. Turning toxic waste into solar lighting, this project is a high impact, sustainable community supporting initiative.

Richard has a background in oil trading, working for BP for nearly two decades, he is an expert in expanding new business leads across the globe. Innovating the corporate structure, he has been a key player in investing in start-up technologies, exploring and scaling up business ideas, Richard has survived the bumpy road of business. He spent 15 years running a trading book, connecting international industries with governments.
