Margrethe Vestager is one of Europe’s most influential figures in digital policy and fair competition, best known for her bold leadership as European Commissioner for Competition from 2014 to 2024.
Over a decade in the role, she led landmark antitrust cases that took on some of the world’s biggest tech companies – reshaping Europe’s digital regulatory landscape and setting new global standards for fairness, transparency and responsible innovation. Her work has placed her at the centre of some of the most important debates of our time: data privacy, platform power, and how to ensure digital transformation benefits society as a whole.
A former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Economic Affairs in Denmark, Margrethe brings deep political experience and a clear, people-first approach to policymaking.
