Dr Alex Gordon is the founder of Sign Salad , an international cultural branding & semiotics agency.   Semiotics is the study of sign processes (semiosis), or signification and communication, signs and symbols.  He provides an alternative view to clients about communicating both internally and externally and the different messages that can be read through signs.  He is an accomplished and fascinating keynote and conference speaker.

Alex was previously Head of Semiotics at Flamingo International. He has a PhD in Semiotics and Identity Politics, and was previously a lecturer at the University of London, and a financial journalist. He is a Fellow of NIECI (National Institute for Excellence in the Creative Industries) and writes a regular ‘Thought Leader’ column for Canvas8.com the advertising planning insight website, and was chosen in 2008 to join the Courvoisier Observer Future 500 network.

Alex regularly publishes and lectures on semiotics and cultural branding. He has spoken at industry conferences (ESOMAR, MRS, Turkish MRS) and to large audiences at internal client conferences –e.g. PernodRicardInternational Marketing Directors Conference & Vodafone Brand Academy
