Co-founder of mySugr and hacking.healthcare, Fredrik Debong's innovative problem solving has put him at the top of the healthcare industry. Using his own issues as inspiration, and brilliant entrepreneurial skills Fredrik  has helped diabetes sufferers manage their treatment through an app. Shaping the future with his creative solutions, Fredrik is a leader of innovative healthcare.

Fredrik Debong is a tech entrepreneur driven to solve problems. Starting with diabetes, his own issue, he set up mySugr.com in 2010, an app to help sufferers manage and control their treatment.

Founded in Vienna, MySugr’s apps, web service and Diabetes Academy are mutually compatible solutions to ease the daily therapy routine. Their high product quality is possible due to the interdisciplinary combination of design, technical, and diabetes expertise.

Their Logbook app is an approved medical device in the US and EU.

In his TEDx talk in Vienna, he spoke about how health care is becoming the field of those it affects. Exploring how innovation comes from us, the grass roots of the eco system, Fredrik’s in-depth research and analysis ventures that we can no longer rely on industry or classical research.

Fredrik studied medical computer science in 2008, and he co-founded Start Europe Pioneers.

With expertise in the areas of change, start-ups, entrepreneurship and health, Fredrik’s speaking career has taken him across the globe.
