Comedian, broadcaster, and fanatical football fan Ian Stone has been bantering with audiences on the British comedy circuit for two decades, entertaining them with his edgy material and everyman persona. He has made appearances on numerous popular TV and radio programmes, including Radio 5 Live's flagship sports panel show Fighting Talk and BT Sport's The Football's On.
Ian Stone gleefully invites audiences to laugh at the world as seen through his eyes.
A regular on the British stand-up comedy circuit, he is happy to riff on the latest news or delve into well-honed material adapted over the past two decades, delivering his edgy, topical material with an easy-going, everyman persona and natural comedic rhythm.
He has appeared on multiple comedy shows including 'Mock The Week', ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’, ‘The World Stands Up’, ‘The 11 O'clock Show’ and Radio 5 Live's 'Fighting Talk’, as well as written for 'Russell Howards' Good News', ‘Alan Davies As Yet Untitled', ‘Alistair McGowan's Big Impression’, and the comedy movie ‘The Laughter Clinic’. He also stars in Channel 5's Comedy Bigmouths.
A member of the Comedy Store's critically acclaimed 'Cutting Edge' team, Ian also received a nomination in 2012 for the BEST SHOW at the Leicester Comedy Festival Awards.
He is also a football fanatic. He regularly hosts BT Sport’s weekly comedy sports panel show ‘The Football’s On’ (formerly ESPN’s ‘Off The Ball’) whose guest-list features Alan Davies, Dara O’Briain, Frankie Boyle, Omid Djalili and Sean Lock.
As well as a founding member of the Alan Davies Arsenal podcast ‘It’s Up For Grabs Now’ (back by popular demand as ‘The Tuesday Club’), Ian became a regular columnist for the Official Arsenal Magazine around the same time the team had its worst start to a season in thirty-six years (but he believes that these two things are completely unconnected).
The perfect after-dinner entertainer for the corporate scene, Ian will leave audiences howling at his fresh and topical material.
