Jim Tavare

Stand-up comedian and Harry Potter actor, Jim Tavare is famed from BAFTA winning The Sketch Show on ITV1. Jim is an internationally recognisable face, his dynamic career has led him to become a distinguished household name and, Prince Charles's favourite comedian! The comic is also hugely popular in the U.S, his brilliant sense of humour will entertain all audiences.

His original deadpan delivery and perfectly crafted routines have also made him an internationally renowned act. From entertaining troops in the Falkland Islands, to the rare accolade of performing at three Royal Variety Performances and a private show at Highgrove, Jim's off-the-wall comedy has been equally well received in the USA.

Background and Career

In 2008 Jim reached the finale of hit US talent show Last Comic Standing (NBC) and embarked on a 63 date tour of the United States with the other finalists. Jim was also the winner of International Star Search in 1992 and went on to appear in Caroline's Comedy Hour and the sitcom Wings.

Jim has performed live at Evening at the Improv in Los Angeles, Showtime Montreal Gala, the Montreal Just for Laughs and Aspen International Comedy Festivals. Jim has written and performed his own series Jim Tavaré Pictures Presents… (BBC Two) and The Golden Rose of Montreaux nominated The Jim Tavaré Show (Five).

He also appears as Tom the Innkeeper in the movie Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban.
