Simon Middleton has become one of the UK’s most in-demand independent brand strategy advisors. Founder of two home-grown brands: Shackleton Design & Manufacturing and Shackleton Instruments, Simon has also worked on brand, creative and training projects with a wide range of commercial organisations including Aviva, Barclays, British Airways, & Pret A Manger. He is an adept speaker in personal branding, entrepreneurialism and self-development.
Simon is the author of Build A Brand In 30 Days - a top seller in its category on Amazon - and was seen in 2010 as an expert advisor to Duncan Bannatyne in the TV series Duncan Bannatyne’s Seaside Rescue.
Working with commercial organisations to help them identify brand strategy and develop their business, Simon has become an expert in aiding commercial progress.
He continues to run a successful brand strategy consultancy, and has also worked extensively with charities, including Comic Relief, St John Ambulance, London Youth, Voluntary Norfolk and Anthony Nolan Trust, and with public sector organisations including Wales Management Council, Norfolk County Council, Shaping Norfolk’s Future, and South Norfolk Council.

Simon has also become closely associated with destination branding and seaside regeneration. He worked on the brand profile of The Broads national park, and has managed to put the little resort of Hemsby in Norfolk on the national stage with the creation of the Hemsby Viking Festival and by initiating a major tourism enterprise project in the resort with his company Norfolk Leisure Ltd.
In 2007 Simon was awarded the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s regional Marketer of the Year prize.
