Background and career
Jonty’s TV career began in 1996 when he was asked to be a guest on the revived BBC series ‘Going for a Song’ chaired by Michael Parkinson.
From this first appearance he was then invited to join the team of experts on the BBC flagship antiques programme "Antiques Roadshow". After a number of successful appearances he was asked to become one of the presenters on BBC1s prime time series "20th Century Roadshow" with Alan Titchmarsh.
In 2001 Jonty was approached by Leopard Films to present a new antiques show for BBC television called "Cash in the Attic". Jonty appeared in the first ever recording and for the past ten years has been in all seventeen subsequent series including six series of "Cash in the Celebrity Attic".
Alongside Angela Rippon, Jonty has made six series of BBC's "Sun Sea and Bargain Spotting" and all four series of the popular programme "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is."
Jonty’s talents are further reaching than TV. His passion for executive coaching stems from his many years experiences as a television presenter and his thirty years involvement in the Art and Antiques industry. He has managed auction rooms, owned highly successful antique dealerships and in 2007 became consultant editor to Miller's Publications. He trained at Henley Business School.
