BT's former Futurologist from 1991 - 2007, Dr Ian Pearson now runs Futurizon, a futurues institute, and is a leading futurist , keynote  and after dinner speaker  adept at educating technology specialists  or explaining complex technologies in everyday language.

All over Europe Ian delivers provocative talks about the future of many aspects of our daily lives - from work to leisure, fashion to climate change.

Ian is a Maths and Physics graduate, a Doctor of Science, and has worked in numerous branches of engineering from aeronautics to cybernetics, sustainable transport to electronic cosmetics. His 1800+ inventions include text messaging and the active contact lens, more recently a number of inventions in transport technology, including driverless transport and space travel. He has written eight books and made well over 750 TV and radio appearances. He is a Chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society and a Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science and the World Innovation Foundation.

As well as his conference speaking diary and writing futures material for corporate PR campaigns with associated media interviews, he often writes white papers for companies reconsidering strategy in the face of rapidly changing technology and occasionally runs or participates in scenario planning workshops.

Ian identifies and explains the key changes ahead in every sector of business and society that will arise as a result of rapidly changing technology, without the use of jargon. He has a strong engineering background and uses that to interpret current R&D and drive his views on how fast things in each sector will change in the next 15 years. He explains often complex technological developments using ordinary everyday language, and shows why they are relevant to executives, in a provocative and entertaining style.

As a keynote speaker , Ian combines solid background with real research to both astound and educate his audiences.
