Dolly Alderton

Dolly Alderton is a journalist, writer, director and co-host of weekly news and pop-culture podcast The High Low. Her portfolio career and award-winning journalism has seen her write for The Sunday Times, The Sunday Times Style, The Telegraph, GQ, Red, Marie Claire, Marie Claire Australia, Grazia, Glamour, Cosmopolitan and Stylist to name but a few. Not only a prolific magazine writer, but Dolly has also written and directed for TV and film.

Dolly Aldterton is well known for her work on modern dating, from 2015 – 2017 she was The Sunday Times Style’s dating columnist and in Spring 2018 her debut novel ‘Everything I Know About Love’ was published by Fig Tree, Penguin. Alongside chronicling the perils of modern dating, Dolly also writes on feminism, fashion, travel, celebrities, books, films and food. Her work can also be found in The Evening Standard, House Magazine, Spectator, The Kentish Towner, The Pool, Man Repeller, Vice, Esquire Weekly, GQ.co.uk, Elle.co.uk and The Debrief.

Not only a prolific magazine writer, but Dolly has also written and directed for TV and film – notably working as the story producer for series 2,3,4 and 5 of Channel 4’s BAFTA-winning show Made in Chelsea and as a short film writer.

Also conquering the world of film, in 2015 she co-wrote and co-directed her first short film which was accepted to The London Short Film Festival. Dolly continues to work on her screenwriting career alongside her other pursuits.

When she’s not writing for prestigious publications, Dolly works on The Dolly Mail, her email newsletter which has over 8000 subscribers, and her popular weekly podcast The High Low which she hosts alongside journalist Pandora Sykes.
