In eye-opening, informative and inspirational multi-media presentations, Kate Ancketill shares insights on the technological, human, digital and physical innovations that will change the face of retail, hospitality, finance and industry over the next two to five years.
In 2000, Kate founded GDR Creative Intelligence, a London and New York based retail trend consultancy, delivering the insight that unlocks and empowers innovation. She works with researchers, insight professionals and consultants to generate highly curated storylines on innovation within global retail and hospitality, with a short to medium-term focus.
GDR is the trend partner to around 30 of the world’s largest consumer brands, so every presentation she gives contains ideas that have been stress-tested at the coal face, often at board level. She is particularly interested in helping clients prepare for the challenges and opportunities presented by exponential technologies; what they mean for consumers, and how they will change the retail and hospitality landscape.
Highly regarded, dynamic and commercial, Kate has won the Jennifer d’Abo Memorial Scholarship for female entrepreneurs and been selected as one of the UK’s top 100 in the Courvoisier Future 500.
In 2017, she was the keynote speaker on trends at the world’s largest retail conference, the National Retail Federation in January 2017 in New York. She presented for 45 minutes in front of 1,000 people on two consecutive days. Of 300 speakers, Kate’s presentation was selected by Stores, the NRF’s in-house newspaper as being in the top four highlights alongside Richard Branson.
Kate’s presentations combine the inspirational with the practical. Her audiences take away concrete action points for future-proofing their business, a broad perspective on priorities for investment and a mind fizzing with cutting-edge, stimulating and challenging possibilities.
Her speaking topics include:
- Marketing, design, comms and social
- Physical and digital consumer touchpoints
- Emerging business models
