A former British no.1 tennis champion, a GMTV presenter, and a Strictly Come Dancing contestant, Andrew is a master of all trades. He is a charming and determined after dinner speaker and awards host, offering audiences witty anecdotes and engaging stories about his rise to the top.
A former British Number One tennis star, and one of the most experienced live presenters in British broadcasting, Andrew Castle is the ideal choice for hosting corporate events and award ceremonies.
From Centre Court to front of camera, Andrew Castle is the archetypal English gentleman, with the professional charm of a seasoned GMTV and Sky Sports presenter, the competitive drive and determination of an athlete, and a gritty, self-deprecating and funny edge.
Prolifically passionate about sport, Andrew has presented golf, cricket and basketball on radio and TV; has shared a commentary box with John McEnroe and a court with David Cameron; and is a Virgin Active Tennis Ambassador who brings coaching sessions and masterclasses to the masses.
Proud of his achievements, Andrew confounded his early critics by breaking the boundaries of his environment. He grew up on a council estate, with divorced parents, but saw a way to success by moving to the US to a tennis academy.
Andrew’s career took off in 1986 as a professional tennis player, competing in the 1988 Seoul and 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. He also took part in Davis and European Cup competitions, and was crowned the British Number One tennis player in both singles and doubles.
His first presenting role was as a co-presenter with Sue Barker at Sky, as well as presenting numerous golf and tennis tournaments including the U.S. P.G.A. Tour, European P.G.A. Tour and the 1995, 1997 and 1999 Ryder Cups.
As well as the Wimbledon finals, Andrew has presented equestrian events for Eurosport; hosted 'Andrew Castle's Tennis Night', a phone-in programme on Radio Five Live; and narrated 'Flight of Death', a documentary for Channel 4.
In 2008, he competed in the sixth series of Strictly Come Dancing with partner Ola Jordan.
He currently presents a weekend show on LBC radio and the breakfast slot on Smooth Radio.
Slick, professional and engaging, Andrew offers the full service – from after dinner chats, to awards hosting and auctions.
