Back to what seems like a lifetime ago, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the shift from in-person events to virtual happened practically overnight. From this, the events industry has since changed forever in many ways.

The result? We curated The Speakers Corner Connects Showcase Series to show the true power that virtual events hold; emphasizing that this is still a great options for businesses to consider when booking a speaker.

Hosted by media broadcaster Henry Bonsu, we listened to his beautiful introduction to Black History Month and warmly welcoming each of our talented line-up of inspirational speakers. Journalist and Professor Dr Kehinde Andrews, broadcaster and author Emma Dabiri and Campaigner, Scholar and Foundation Director Dr Makaziwe Mandela completed this year’s incredible line-up; all sharing fascinating facts and candid personal experiences.

Hosted by best selling author Anna Mathur, we were delighted to host a virtual showcase about Mental Health to move the conversation away from stigma to understanding. Joining Anna were the fantastic speakers Alastair Campbell, Petra Velzeboer and Laura Hearn and helped educate and inform us as the World Health Organisation implored society to view the mental health space as a wake up call to the World.

Hosted by former English International rugby union player and BT Sport pundit Ugo Monye , this year's Black History Month Showcase saw double Olympic Gold Medallist Nicola Adams OBE , diversity and inclusion expert Naomi Sesay , and renowned British-Nigerian historian, broadcaster and film-maker David Olusoga  share their stories and advice on how we can work to make the world a more inclusive place.

With this year's theme of Dig Deeper, Look Closer, Think Bigger, watch our highlights to learn more about Black and British history, why we need to stop using BAME in the workplace, and why sharing your identity and your story can help inspire a wave of meaningful change in the workplace and beyond!

Virtual Masterclass Highlights XIII | Celebrating International Women’s Day


Our first virtual masterclass of 2021 celebrated International Women's Day . Hosted by Susannah Streeter  and joined by ex-footballer Eniola Aluko , Polar Explorer Ann Daniels  and the first British Astronaut Helen Sharman OBE  we were left inspired and motivated like never before to help forge a gender equal world, raise awareness and celebrate the achievements of the women in our lives and beyond! Speakers Corner Connects VII | Virtual Comedy Collective


We're delighted to be the first bureau to run a virtual comedy showcase! Our host Ian Stone  was based in our London office where we created a studio.

Ian was joined in the front row by an exclusive VIP audience who were able to interact with Ian and our stellar line-up of comedians. This interaction helped create a similar atmosphere to one that you find in comedy clubs!

Joining Ian 'on stage' were  Isma Almas , Daliso Chaponda , Andrew Ryan , Abandoman , Lou Sanders , Simon Brodkin , Suzi Ruffell  and Tom Allen .

Speakers Corner Connects VI | Diversity and Inclusion 2.0 Virtual Masterclass

The Black Lives Matters Movement has thrust diversity and inclusion back into a global news agenda. But how do we turn good thoughts and intentions into real change? With the hosting help of Award Winning TV and Radio Presenter,  Juliette Foster , Member of Parliament for Tottenham and the Shadow Justice Secretary  David Lammy  and organisational psychologist, Chartered Scientist, author, and CEO  John Amaechi  how businesses can implement practical tools to combat unconcious bias, how SMEs can create diverse workplaces and the importance of having uncomfortable conversations which lead to meaningful change.

Our fifth Speakers Corner Showcase saw multiple GRAMMY-winning composer, producer, arranger and guitarist  Nile Rodgers  share stories about busking on the New York subway and sleeping on the streets, to moving onto co-found the chart-topping band CHIC, while also letting us in on the secrets to working with David Bowie, Daft Punk and what he thinks are the keys to unleashing creativity with British TV and radio presenter, Vick Hope .
